Welcome to Spun.com -- The Entertainment Exchange. We are committed to bringing you the very best selection, pricing, and service. Our pledge to our customers: If you are not completely satisfied with a product purchased from Spun.com, we will do everything possible to make you a happy customer.

Setting up your account
Setting up an account is easy, and it only takes a minute. From our sign up page, you'll need to enter a few pieces of information to establish your personal account. We won't ask you for your shipping and billing information until you place your first order. Please know that all of your personally identifiable information is private and will not be shared with or sold to any outside firms.

Click MY ACCOUNT from the top right of any page if you ever need to make changes to your account (i.e. a new shipping address or different credit card information). Please note: Your new account information will be used on your NEXT ORDER. If you need to change the information for a previously placed order, please contact our Customer Service Department.

If you happen to forget your password, just use our New Password Utility and follow the directions to receive a brand new password. You can change this temporary password to something that's easier to remember by visiting the MY ACCOUNT page.

Privacy Guarantee
Spun.com is committed to the complete privacy and security of your shopping experience. No outside firm or entity will be able to view your account information, your purchasing history, or your credit card number. Your personal information will never be sold, and you can withdraw your name and close your account at any time by contacting our Customer Service Department. We encourage all Spun.com users to review our Privacy Policy if you have any other questions.

Buying


Using your Cart
Buying used and new CDs, DVDs and video games from Spun.com is quick and easy, with convenient buttons that allow you to change your order and keep a running tally of what you'll be paying when you check out. When you find a title you want to add to your shopping cart, simply click the BUY or SELL button next to the title. If you select a title and then change your mind about purchasing it, just go to your shopping cart and click DELETE next to the item to remove it from your cart.

Because many customers are looking for the same products, shopping carts inactive for more than 90 minutes are emptied, so that the items can be re-shelved and made available for other customers. If only one copy of an item is in stock and that copy was placed in a shopping cart as part of an unfinished order, it will take approximately ninety minutes before that item becomes available again. If it does not reappear on the site after that time, it's possible that somebody else was able to sneak in and buy it during the interim.


New CDs, DVDs and Video Games
Spun.com has access to virtually every new title in print at very competitive prices. If you can't find it, let us know and we'll do everything we can to locate it and put it in your hands. Note that NEW games cannot be shipped to International shipping addresses.

Used CDs, DVDs and Video Games
Used entertainment is what we're all about at Spun.com, and we have hundreds of thousands of CDs, DVDs and video games at very reasonable prices. Every used item at Spun is in excellent condition. Our busy staff checks in all used discs and cartridges and inspects them for defects. Like any brick-and-mortar used CD or DVD store, Spun.com has an inventory of discs which may contain minor imperfections. No discs or cartridges with critical defects (such as skipping, severely damaged artwork, chipped casing, etc.) will be sold. Should you need a manual, you most likely can download one from http://www.replacementdocs.com. If there is anything wrong with a CD, DVD or video game from Spun, please notify us immediately so we can replace it or credit your account. You have 30 days after receipt to request replacement. At the discretion of Spun.com, new items may be substituted for used ones, but used product will never be substituted for new product orders. If we substitute a new item for a used one you ordered, you will only be charged the used price.

Import CDs, DVDs, and video games
Please note that due to overseas shipping and importing procedures, all import CDs may require four weeks or more for delivery. Many Japanese and European CDs can require even more time for shipping to the US and Canada than British Imports. All may be subject to this four week minimum delivery time. DVD and video game formats differ from region to region. We currently only carry region 1 DVDs and North American video games.

Substitutions
Occasionally orders overlap, and a used item goes out of stock after it has been spoken for. In this situation, it is Spun.com's policy that new items may be substituted for used items, but used items will never be substituted for new.

Backorders
Items that go out of stock after they have been ordered will be marked "Backordered" on your packing slip. We hate when this happens too, and it almost always means we have just run out of that item and will have it in stock within a few days. Don't worry -- if you elected to have all items sent together when checking out, we will not charge shipping and handling if a backordered item is sent separately from other items. You will only be billed once for shipping, and we will not bill the purchase price of the backordered item until it ships.

Searching & Browsing


Searching is easy and simple on Spun.com. We offer many different searching options. For instance, if you're searching for a particular song by a particular band, you can search by song title, band name or album title. You can also search for a DVD by title, actor, director, crew or studio. To search for a particular game you can search by title or company. We also offer genre searching for CDs and DVDs, and for games we offer genre and platform searching.

If you are selling CDs to Spun.com you can take advantage of our UPC search for CDs, DVDs and games. Just enter the TWELVE numbers associated with the bar code. Or you can use your :CueCatT Reader to scan your CDs so you can get credit fast!

Payment Options


Credit Cards
All Spun transactions are charged in USD.

Spun.com currently accepts credit card payments with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We realize your credit card information is sensitive, and we have taken every step to secure and protect your card number. We advise all of our users to do the same by never sending your credit card number or Spun password via email. Spun.com utilizes SSL encryption technology. For more information, see our "Secure Site Statement" below. Your credit card will not be charged until each item is ready to ship.

All exchanges must have a valid credit card number. This is a security precaution in case the CDs, DVDs and video games being sold to us don't arrive or are in unacceptable condition. Only then would your credit card need to be charged.

PayPal
Payment via PayPal can be sent to us at paypal@spun.com. PLEASE be sure to include the email address associated with your Spun.com account with your payment. Please note that PayPal payments will deposit as USD into your Spun.com account after any PayPal processing fees take place.

At this time we accept PayPal funds from any of the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Virgin Islands (U.S.)

Upon receipt of your advance payment, it'll be placed into your account for future purchases. As always, we'll let you know via email when that happens. PLEASE be sure to include your email address with your payment.

PLEASE NOTE: When purchasing items after a PayPal payment, we cannot guarantee availability or pricing of items. We also do not manually place the order for you. The credit will be placed in your account so that you can place the order through the site.
We always hope that our customers who don't want to provide us with credit card information will consider these payment options.

Secure Site Statement
Spun.com utilizes a number of encryption and security devices to make your shopping experience a safe and happy one. We utilize SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to encrypt your information before it is sent over the Internet. All of your personally identifiable data is private and is never shared with or bought by any outside organization. We advise all of our users to protect their credit card number by never sending that number (or your Spun password) via email. Our Customer Service representatives will never ask you for this vital information. Instead, you can securely update your credit card by logging in and visiting your Account Page.

Shipping


Tracking Your Order
If you'd like to know the status of an order you've placed, simply click on ORDER STATUS from the top right of any page and it will show you whether your order was processed, shipped, backordered, deleted or cancelled. If you are still concerned, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department, and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Shipping and Handling
Shipping rates are based on the country your order is being shipped to and the number of items being ordered. To see the shipping charges, add desired products to your cart, then click on "checkout" and select your country of residence.

Delivery Schedule

  • Most orders are boxed and delivered to the U.S. Post Office in Chicago within three business days.

  • Please allow 7-10 additional business days for delivery. (10-13 business days total.)

Returns


Return Policy
Spun.com completely guarantees all of its merchandise to be free of defects. You may return any defective item to Spun.com for full credit. Simply contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll credit your Spun account a full refund of the purchase price (minus shipping and handling charges).

Please note that Spun.com does not allow new Game returns. Should a game you purchase be defective, only an exchange for the same title on the same platform is allowed. Should you need a manual, you most likely can download one from http://www.replacementdocs.com. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

If you selected the wrong item, or it turned out to be something other than you expected, you're always welcome to sell that item back to us in a future order. Any unauthorized returns may result in additional restocking fees or refusal.

How to make a return
Contact our Customer Service Department to request return instructions and a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.

In your message, be sure to include:

1. Your order number
2. The title(s) you wish to return
3. The reason for the return

Please note: be sure to send your return via an insured carrier. Spun.com is not responsible for lost returns.

Product Pricing & Order Acceptance
All products and prices listed on this site are subject to change without notice. The listing of a product on this site does not imply that the product is presently available. In the event that a product on our site is listed at an incorrect price due to an error in pricing received from a supplier, we reserve the right to cancel any order placed for such product, even if the order has been confirmed and/or your credit card has been already charged. We will make every effort to contact you in case such error should occur, and your credit card will be promptly issued a credit for the amount of the incorrect price.
